Burton Custom Flying V 156cm 2014 model

my opinion

This is the board for those who want the one of the best boards that Burton has to offer, its for those who don't know what board they want but still want the best. The Burton Custom has been the flagship and the go to board for past 20 years.

Profile

Flying V - this means its a hybrid, rocker between your bindings section allowing for the playfulness and float required in powder, but the mild camber zones at the inserts give it the necessary edge control and pop.

Flex rating-

i think its about 5 to 6 - happy medium- soft enough for the sharp turns and cushioning landings but hard enough that when you go fast you don't feel like your going to vibrate off the board.

Core -

FSC Super Fly ll 700G Core - Strong and lightweight woods target specific areas of the core to provide pop, strength and reduce weight. FSC™ certification for the hippie in you as the wood originates from environmentally friendly managed areas.

Base -

Sintered WFO – Burton infused specially formulated wax deep into the pores of this extra-absorbent, high-density sintered material. The result is an ultra-durable base that stays fast and furious all season in any conditions.

Terrain-

ALL MOUNTAIN killer

Shape -

Directional - this is a board that is intended to go in one direction, therefore it makes it best for turning and charging. directional boards are made with a softer or directional nose and a stiffer tail for ample flotation.

Pro-Tip- this means it has a thicker tail to reduce swing weight for better mobility.
